Don't forget that the official premier of your work takes place on Tuesday 18th December at 1pm at The Screen on the Green. If you have a class on a Tuesday afternoon you must ask permission from your teacher to miss this lesson.
Here's a map, in case you've forgotten where it is:
It's almost opposite Nandos. The screening will be finished by 3pm. Remember - no Media ID = No entry!!
See you on Tuesday.

Deadlines are looming....
This week sees your Rough Cut Deadline. During your lesson this week your teachers will look at your work and give you feedback on any changes/additions that you should consider making. After this rough cut feedback you must generate a quick time version of your rough cut and then put it up on your blog. Once you've posted the rough cut you need to put a 'tick' in the column next to your group number, which is on the wall in 325.
It's really important that you blog about the audience feedback that you get at the rough cut deadline, and include a statement in response to any suggested changes/additions.
The Final Deadline is on Friday 30th November at 3.30pm. Please make sure that you read the instructions on the wall in 325 outlining how to save your final edit. Extensions will not be given.
All blogging for the construction and editing of the music video must be posted by 30th November.
The Screen on the Green has been booked for the premier of your work on Tuesday 18th December at 1pm. Remember to bring your Media ID card with you for entry and if you have a lesson on Tuesday afternoon you must seek permission from your teacher to attend the screening.
That's all folks!

Progress of your blogs
Your teachers are busy looking through your blogs and will be feeding back to you about how well you are doing. We will also be encouraging you to set yourself targets to improve your blogs further.
What we are looking for is plenty of blogging outside the blogging checklist - much more so than at AS. When you see something on MTV or on Youtube that inspires you then blog about it; When you see something in the press about music videos or artists from a similar genre to one that you are working in then blog about it. We are also looking for lots and lots of analysis and detail in your blogs, and so it's really important that you plan what you are going to write about before you do it.
What is also super important is using a variety of different pieces of 'ICT' in your blogs: remember that there must be some sort of visual element to each of your blog posts - not just a text blog. Think about using Prezi, slide-share, camtasia, vlogs, screen-grabs (and annotated screen-grabs), embedded videos, links, jpegs, photobucket/flickr (and many many more!).
Remember that workshop is open every lunchtime (room 323) for you to come along and catch up with your blogging work.
Good luck!

Using Camtasia for Moodboards
I've created a moodboard for my 1970s inspired band 'The Dungarees'. It's really easy to use Camtasia - you just import as many jpeg images as you want and you can then animate them and add your music track too. Ask your teacher or a technician for more help.

This is NOT Andrew Goodwin
If you have posted this man's face for part of your Andrew Goodwin homework - please remove it! This is not Andrew Goodwin who wrote 'Dancing in the Distraction Factory'. This is a man called Andrew Goodwin who lives in Australia and who I think is a solicitor.
